|  Mike Mair, BA (Honours) Anthropology, MB BChir (Medicine) | Mike Mair's first medical job was in Ophthalmology and ENT, and in 1973 he spent six months with a mobile eye unit in Sierra Leone, West Africa. He gained the Diploma in Ophthalmology from the Royal Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons: London, in 1974 and after some research years, was on the residency program from 1980 to 1984 at Moorfield's Eye Hospital gaining the UK FRCS in 1983. He moved to the Eye Department at Otago, New Zealand in 1985 as Senior Lecturer, and then to Timaru in 1988 where he worked with the New Zealand Software Corporation (Houston Computers) between 1993 and 2001 developing the 'Houston Ophthalmology' Clinical Record System. He was granted fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists in 1997. The public and private practices were combined at our previous York Street premises in 1995 and the Clinic was a pioneer in the development of practice management IT for Ophthalmology. Mike advises on national and international forums about Electronic Health Records. |

| Raelene has been with the Timaru Eye Clinic for 16 years, employed as the Practice Manager. She previously worked for 8 years in a Lawyer's office. She is married with three adult children and two granddaughters. Her interests include quilting and patchwork, and spending time with her growing family. |
| Debbie has worked as a nurse at the Timaru Eye Clinic since 2000. Having done her training at Timaru Public Hospital, she has also worked at Bidwill Trust Hospital and the South Canterbury Hospice. She has three daughters: Jannah, Kelly, and Lauren. Her hobbies are spending time with family and friends and needle work. |  |

| Mary is a registered nurse, working three days in operating theatre at Timaru Public Hospital, and two days at the Clinic. Mary is married to Laurence, with two wonderful sons - Justin & Michael. She is also a besotted grandmother to Jack. She is a keen fly fisherman, gardener and reader and enjoys classical music and opera. |
| Melody started as a part-time receptionist in early August 2006 as our newest member of staff. Prior to this she was Customer Services Manager with Swanndri New Zealand for 5 years. She has 2 daughters aged 16 and 18. Melody loves to paint colourful, quirky paintings, usually aiming to sell them but often finding them snapped up by friends and family before too much money changes hands. Any other spare time is spent reading, walking her dog and husband, or studiously avoiding the housework. |  |
